Brand New You: How to Reinvent Your Brand

It’s inevitable that a brand that once felt fresh, new and innovative will eventually feel tired and dated if it is not consistently refreshed and reinvented.

Taking time to consider how the world sees your ‘brand’ is invaluable – though it feels like such an intangible word that is hard to define and measure, developing a strong brand is key for connecting you to your customers.

If you feel like putting a new lease of life into your business, here’s our top tips for reinventing your brand to create a bigger, better one:

Be Yourself

In a time of excessive advertising and marketing noise, consumers are more vigilant than ever of the brands they put their trust in, and trying to get round them with sales jargon, misleading information and ceaseless terms and conditions will immediately make your customer turn off.

It’s hard to be credible, engaging and hook your customer in, but the best possible way to go about it is humanising your brand, figuring out your identity and communicating that to your audience in a truthful and authentic way.

Think Like a Storyteller

It’s impossible for your customer to know everything about your brand; who you are, where you came from, what you stand for – unless you’re one of the big boys like Apple or Coca-Cola. In order to start a conversation with your customers, you need to figure out what you want to say. What’s the narrative behind your brand? What story do you want to tell your customers about your product, and how do you want to tell it to them?

Get Picky

Having a brand makeover or reinvention is the perfect time to reevaluate what’s working in your business and what isn’t. Is there a product or service that you’re offering that isn’t doing as well as you’d hoped? Has one of your marketing campaigns really succeeded in providing results?

Don’t think of a brand reinvention to just mean tweaking the colour of your logo or updating your social media banners, it can be a great opportunity to do so much more than that, and really look at what’s working and what isn’t in your brand.

What else will you need once you’ve reinvented your brand? Some fab printed bags to spread the word, of course!
