Make the most of your event giveaway!

Providing your customers with a free event giveaway when your company attends an exhibition or conference is one of the most direct ways for your brand to make a lasting impression on them, but how can your giveaway really make an impact? We have some top tips:

  1. Align your giveaway with your business objectives

Think about what your business is focusing on at the moment; whether it’s a certain product, sector or target market, convey this through your giveaway. Adapt the look and feel to what your potential customer will like, include the hashtag you’re using in your current campaign and think about how you want to position your company, and that will help decide the kind of things you include in your goodie bag.

  1. Raise brand awareness

One of the most obvious benefits to providing a goodie bag or giveaway from your stand at an event is that you are making more people aware of your brand, and the key to this is visibility. Increasing the frequency of impressions your brand makes is directly related to how memorable it is, even if someone only sees it subconsciously. So, get the merchandise you’re giving away branded up with your logo and company colours, and include things like pens, canvas bags, notebooks or mugs that people use in everyday life to maximise your visibility and, in turn, increase awareness.

  1. Encourage interaction

Maybe you could run a competition that involves collecting certain things in their goodie bag during the day in order to win a prize, or prompt them to take a ‘selfie’ with their goodie bag and tweet with your designated hashtag to enter? Create a call to action that gets the customer reengaging with your company after the event is over, and make an impact that really lasts.
